Our courses

Choose your course

Each course is a complete 8-week programme, with a structured week-by-week progression and one live session per week. Take it individually, or join a small group once one is confirmed.

How it works

How our 8-week programmes work

Each programme is designed as a whole, not as a set of separate lessons. Every week builds on the one before, leading to a final review of what you have achieved.

  1. Start with your level

A short initial level assessment (planned) helps us understand where you are and what you would like to achieve.

  2. Meet once a week

One 60-minute live session each week, online or in person, following a clear week-by-week plan.

  3. Practise between sessions

Downloadable learning materials (planned) let you review vocabulary and ideas at your own pace. In the future, we also plan to add digital learning activities and tools.

  4. Finish with feedback

Personalised feedback at the end (planned) highlights your progress and suggests what to explore next.

Our approach

What makes our approach different?

Inspired by Montessori and Waldorf principles, our courses treat language as something you live, not just something you study.

  • Conversation from week one

Every session centres on speaking. Grammar and vocabulary arrive when you need them to say something real.

  • Creativity with structure

Stories, characters and projects keep learning alive, inside a clear plan you can follow week by week.

  • Real situations, real culture

Markets, menus, meetings and festivals: we practise the moments where Spanish actually matters.

  • Personal attention

Individual sessions and small groups mean every learner is heard, encouraged and gently challenged.

Learning formats

Individual or small-group learning

Both formats follow the same 8-week programme. The difference is who you learn with, and how a course gets started.

Individual course

A one-to-one programme that moves at your pace and follows your interests closely. It can begin once we agree a weekly time that suits you.

  • Fully personal attention
  • Flexible focus within the programme
  • Online or in person

Small-group course

Learn alongside others at a similar level, with lots of conversation and shared projects. A group only goes ahead once enough learners have enrolled and a schedule has been confirmed for everyone.

  • Natural conversation practice with peers
  • Collaborative activities and projects
  • Corporate groups for Business Spanish, arranged on request

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which level I am?

You do not need to know exactly. Choose “Not sure” in the form and we will talk with you first. An initial level assessment is a planned part of every course.

When do the courses start?

Start dates and times are arranged according to interest and availability. Send a request with your preferred days and we will get back to you.

What is the difference between individual and small-group courses?

An individual course is just for you and can start once we agree a schedule. A small-group course depends on enough learners at a similar level enrolling, and on a schedule being confirmed for everyone. There are no fixed group dates yet: if you are interested in a group, we will let you know when one becomes possible.

Do the courses include apps or digital tools?

Digital learning activities and tools are part of how we plan to develop our teaching in the future. They are not yet part of the courses, and a course place does not include access to Spanish Mate Break or any other app. We will share news when they are ready.

Are the courses online or in person?

Both are possible. Tell us your preference in the request and we will let you know what is available.

How much does a course cost?

Pricing and availability are shared on request. We will send you the details when we reply to your request.

Will I receive a certificate?

Our courses are not accredited and do not lead to an official qualification. At the end of the course you will receive personalised feedback on your progress, which is a planned inclusion.

Can my child join a course?

Yes. Spanish Explorers is designed for ages 6 to 12 and Speak & Create for ages 13 to 17. Requests for learners under 18 must be made by a parent or guardian.

Is a request a confirmed booking?

No. A request simply tells us you are interested. We will reply personally to confirm availability, schedule and details before anything is arranged.

How do courses relate to CharlaMate, Play & Learn and Wine Nights?

They are separate experiences. CharlaMate is a reciprocal language exchange, Play & Learn is a collection of learning games, and Spanish Wine Nights are relaxed cultural evenings. None of them is part of a course.
